| Artist Statement |
| Carol's art is primarily inspired by the beauty that surrounds us here in New England with occasional scenes from her travels. Her pursuit of art started in primary school and while interrupted many times by life's other demands, it has been a constant in her life. Having worked in several mediums, Carol has been drawn to the vibrant colors of pastels and its forgiving nature and is presently creating only pastel paintings. Many local artists have offered their insights and instruction. Kevin Carney (Alstead) in acrylics , Joy Descoteaux (formerly Spofford) pastels, Russ Russell and Phyllis Bergeron Bagley. Workshops with Robert Carsten and Susan Ogilive have also been inspirational. |
