Amazing Grace
Monotype Oil paint on cotton rag paper

Amazing Grace is a typical monotype which I accomplish by applying oil paint with a brayer to a printing plate. Then slowly lift away paint and apply texture until I feel the piece is complete. This study on coastal landscape and sea gulls was based on photos I took during an art trip to Maine . "Amazing Grace" was accepted into the MGNE juried exhibtion and was displayed at Plymouth State University.
