Heidi Hernes' paintings are primarily landscapes in oil reflecting her ongoing interest in the beauty of where she was born and raised. Upon early retirement from a management position in a New York hospital, Ms Hernes returned to New Hampshire to pursue her desire to capture the beauty of the New England countryside on canvas. She presently works in her studio in Alstead, New Hampshire where her paintings may be seen.

Ms. Hernes' work has been exhibited in the Peekskill and Milton, New York areas and may be seen in regional areas of Vermont and New Hampshire. She is a member of Keene Art Association, Saxtons River and Chester Art Guilds, Miller Art Cebter in Springfield, VT, and is Coordinator for the Art Exhibits at the Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, New Hampshire.
